Defining a new generation in permanent cements
ORANGE, CA - February 23, 2007 - For unprecedented advantages in
dental esthetics, look no further. Introducing NX3 Nexus® Third
Generation, the new universal adhesive resin cement from Kerr.
Universally indicated for all indirect applications - including veneers,
NX3 is a permanent resin cement system with an
innovative chemistry for unmatched esthetics, adhesion and great versatility. Delivery systems choices
include an automix syringe for dual-cure indications and a light-cure
cement for multiple units where unlimited work time is needed.
NX3 is compatible with self-etch and total-etch adhesives and
obtains high bond strength whether the cement is light-cured or
dual-cured. A dual-cure activator for the adhesive is no longer needed.
And while lightcuring is always recommended even when there is limited
light accessibility (i.e., PFM crowns), good adhesion is achieved in
self-cure situations. NX3 adheres to all substrates - dentin, enamel,
CAD/CAM blocks, ceramic, porcelain and metal.
"With Kerr's proprietary amine-free initiator system and optimized
resin matrix, this product is the first truly color-stable adhesive
resin cement on the market," says Kerr Product Manager Sue Seamon.
Versatility further distinguishes NX3. The dual-cure cement can be
used for all indications including veneers, and for unlimited work time
a separate light-cure cement for seating multiple units is available.
With one set of try-in gels that match both dual-cure and light-cure
cements and no color shifting, a huge advantage whenit comes to
esthetic restorations, NX3 is one of the premiere products on the
market today.
"NX3 solidifies our position in the cements arena by offering an
option when esthetics and performance are of the utmost," says Director
of Product Management Meghan Moore Rizzo. "If the success of Maxcem is
any indication, Kerr clearly has an opportunity to provide a complete
solution for all permanent cementation needs that clinicians can trust."
